Follow the instructions on this page to get the EclipseCrossword software.

Starting EclipseCrossword so you can make your first puzzle

Picture of the Start menu

Once you've downloaded and installed EclipseCrossword, you can start a new puzzle by starting EclipseCrossword, just like your other software.

  1. Click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the screen.  On Windows 8, it won't appear until you move your cursor to the lower-left corner of the screen.  On Windows 7 and Windows Vista, it's blue and just contains the Windows logo.
  2. Click All Programs.  On older versions of Windows, it's just Programs.  On Windows 8, this step is unnecessary.
  3. Find EclipseCrossword in the list and click it.  It will probably be at the end of the list.

Once you've started EclipseCrossword, follow the instructions on the screen to start your first puzzle.  If you don't see EclipseCrossword in the list, you might have downloaded it but not installed it.  Read the instructions carefully.

Tip: Once you've downloaded and installed the EclipseCrossword software, you don't need to return to this website or connect to the internet when you want to create a new puzzle.  You can just start it from the Start menu each time.
