We're sorry you're having troubles downloading EclipseCrossword! This article explains some of the common problems that people run into.
If you can't find the file you downloaded, you can just download it again. The EclipseCrossword files are very small and should just take a couple seconds.
Do you receive this error message, or a similar one?
WebSetup was unable to download the necessary files. Please make sure that you are connected to the internet and try again.
Certain programs, such as "internet security" suites, firewalls, and download accelerators can cause problems with WebSetup; we recommend disabling them if you have them running. You do not need to disable virus and spyware scanners.
WebSetup is the program that helps you download and install EclipseCrossword, and any system updates that you might need before you can use EclipseCrossword. You get this error message when it isn't able to do this. A few of the reasons you might see this problem include:
If none of the above was helpful, you'll need to perform a manual installation.
If you're on a dial-up connection, and you have a very old computer (for example, running Windows 98), the setup procedure may take a while while it downloads the EclipseCrossword files and installs necessary Windows updates. It's probably working, just slowly. In the worst case, it might take twenty or thirty minutes. Normally, it takes a few seconds.
This probably just means that there was a temporary disruption in your internet connection. Try downloading the file again.
If you're trying to install EclipseCrossword at work or school and you get this message, you'll need permission from your IT department or technical staff to install EclipseCrossword on this computer.
Hopefully one of those helped out! If not, we'd be happy to help you out directly. Send us an email and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
